In 2011 Donald Schmit donated over $271,000 to St. Anthony School. This marks the largest single donation ever given by an individual. Mr. Schmit also donated this same gift of love to many other Catholic schools in the area as well as to Wisconsin Right to Life. His faithfulness to the mission of the Church specifically the education of children and to the defense of the unborn is undeniable.

Schmit, Donald H. Passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010, age 91. Preceded in death by his parents Alfons and Marie Schmit, his sister Marilyn Schmit, and his brother Thomas A. Schmit. Survived by his brother Monsignor Ralph Schmit and sister-in-law Barbara Schmit. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Donald was a longtime employee of AC Delco, Milwaukee and was a co-founder of Catholic Singles.
